Hope for the Spirit with Mike McDaniel, Hope-NWA Architect

Mike McDanielHope isn’t supposed to be an elusive dream, but is intended to be a present reality. Hope is not something you should only see as a mirage in life but should be internal marriage of the heart. When trials, hardships and disillusionment come (and they come to us all in different shapes and sizes), hope is many times the first element of our life to flee and leave us standing in our own self-pity and bewilderment.  It is in those times that we must arrest hope and bring it back. We must establish hope as something in us that rises above circumstances and life’s pitfalls. Hope must become more than a impulse; hope must define who we are.

This site is designed to help all of Northwest Arkansas move past the mirage and to a marriage with hope. As Hope-NWA Architect and as the Spiritual Life Coach/Pastor of Grace Point Church, I hope  we can journey together to heart of hope. I want to begin with a list of random thoughts, quotes, verses that I have help establish hope in my core. May these carefully crafted, thoughtfully articulated and some divinely inspired words start you on the path of hope. If your want to share your thoughts, responses or philosophies on hope with me, please CLICK HERE.Let’s enter into a conversation that ends at hope.

“Loss creates a barren present, as if one were sailing on a vast sea of nothingness.  Those who suffer loss live suspended between a past for which they long and a future for which they hope.  They want to return to the harbor of the familiar and past and recover what was lost….Or they want to sail on and discover a meaningful future that promises to bring them life again….Instead, they find themselves living in a barren present that is empty of meaning.” - Gerald L Sittser, A Grace Disguised

“Pain is God’s megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”   - C.S. Lewis

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.” - Psalm 31:24

“Long-term overload can rob us of hope.  And hope is the oxygen of the soul.”
- Steve Farrar, Overcoming Overload

“But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love” - Psalm 33:18
