There is no doubt that the current economic situation will affect all of us.

It may be hardest emotionally for those who understand it the least. Many times children don’t understand why they were once able to go to the movies every weekend and eat fast food without end, but now the family is living on a budget and these privileges are limited. Others who are older and living on fixed incomes may wonder what they are to do since their earning capabilities are limited. Or maybe you always enjoyed the finer, faster, newer things in life, but now you are having to make some tough choices for the sake of the whole family.

Today's economy will likely cause every family to re-examine and adjust the way they are living. If we don't, we may become victims in ways that could have possibly been avoided. With 50 percent of all marriages ending in divorce and 80 percent of divorced people indicating that financial issues played a primary role in ending their marriages, we must be careful to guard and protect our families.

Much of the insight that you will read in the steps below come from the Bible. Jesus was very wise when he spoke and 15 percent of everything that Jesus said related to money and processions.
